Excellent sandwich spot. I got the Rocky's Italian and it smacked. Could have maybe gone a tad lighter on the vinegar but no complaints.
Rocky's is my usual post-MTB race stop and it's always Rocky's Italian--always meaty and delicious--with chips and a Barq's to wash it down.
But today, the Italian sausage and peppers was calling--about 10-inches or so of perfectly-flavored sausage, covered in mozzarella, toasted up under the broiler, and covered in sweet bell peppers. What I really dug about this sandwich was that the sausage, sauce and bell peppers all seemed to be cooked separately, so they retained their distinct flavors, but they all came together in classic Italian style in the end, better than a Vespa, an Aperol spritz and ride around Lake Como. A course-chopped slaw, some chips and a Barq's (as always) rounded it out.
Enough for two, I ate it all myself, which made it difficult to get back on the motorcycle for the two-hour fire road ride home. But alas....
My only complaint: the sad little plastic fork that wilted under the gluttony.
So, if you're on your way to or from Running Springs or Big Bear, make a stop. Just bring your own fork.
The sandwiches are amazing I personally love the Philly cheesesteak and the meatball sub they have a really cool lower level lounge for drinks and sports along with a patio outside which is really nice my only gripes are the times they're open and sometimes it was a little packed but it's an amazing little place to go get lunch highly recommend
The chicken habanero sandwich was absolutely fantastic. The bread is perfect with a crispy crust. A must stop if your in Running Springs.

1st timer! Amazing sandwich to have post hike Pastrami was warm and juicy. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the very nice owners. Outdoor patio had a relaxing vibe. Will definitely stop by again!

Rocky's has the BEST sandwiches! Seriously... my family and I are obsessed! They know us by name, and my "special" order that i get every time. It's the "hey Heather how are you?" When I walk in each time and the delicious sandwiches that never fails! My 2 year old and i fight over my sandwich! They have a pulled pork sandwich my husband dies over on some weekends too!! Every sandwich I've tried is seriously the best. Thanks Rocky's!! You are the best!!
